I grew up impressed by the painting-skills of my mother, who then
encouraged me to take art as a mayor subject in high school ( '66
Needham MA), and. I earned a BFA in ART at UMASS AMHERST in 70. I
began showing professionally in 78 traveling the art show circuit
in Maine from 86 through 96.

My woodcuts have been acquired throughout the USA, Canada,
England and Italy. They have also been shown in numerous museums
and juried shows - most recently in the "13 th ANNUAL. INT.
EXHIBITION ON ANIMALS IN ART" at LSU SCHOOL of VETERINARY
MEDICINE, BATON ROUGE, LA., and in 2005
at the University. of Maine Machias ME Art Galleries
"RETRO-FUTURE-SPECTIVE" ( Maine Univ-Exp ).

I have continued my studies in art at the HAYSTACK SCHOOL,
DEER ISLE, ME.; PORTLAND SCHOOL OF ART AND UNIV. OF MAINE/MACHIAS,
where I have also thought WOODCUT PRINTMAKING. Most recently I
have jointed "THE BAREN" (http://www.barenforum.org/index.html)
an international forum for woodcut printmakers
